The Bichon/Shihtzu, Shichon,Tiny Teddy Bear puppies or Zuchon combines the outstanding characteristics of the Bichon Frise and the Shih-Tzu Breed. The Zuchon, also commonly called a Shichon by many breeders, is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Bichon Frise or for the "TRUE "Beddy Bear a Bishon Poo and the Shih Tzu. These dogs are Often called the " AKA Tiny Teddy Bear puppies" dogs.
Why we breed Shorkies and Tiny Teddy Bear Shichon:
Shorkies and Shichons are the hybrid cross between purebred ( AKC ) parents registered and of either standard, miniature or toy size. These crosses produce puppies that pull the best genetics from both breeds and a "hybrid vigor" that allows them to grow healthier and live longer than either parent. While many purebreds may be prone to genetic diseases inherent to that breed, the only genetic diseases the hybrids can be prone to, are those shared by both parents. ShihTzu ,Yorkies and Bichon Frise are very low to non-shedding, and this trait carries over in the cross, making these dogs very nice for those with allergies and or a desire to have little to no dog hair in the house or on themselves. The puppies can look like either parent, but generally fall somewhere in-between. Shorkie's and Shichon's are extremely popular and make exceptional pets.

When I started breeding I decided that if I did not better the breed, I would not breed at all. I spent over one year looking for my first Imperial Shih Tzu female as I was so picky. I then was on the hunt for a smaller Tiny Yorkie male to go with her. He was only 3.4 lbs. I fell in love with the personalities of both breeds and was hooked. I have had other breeds but the tiny ShihTzu and ShihTzu cross bred Shorkies and Shichon are definitely more personable, loving, obedient, and the best family pet around.
My Shorkie and Teddy Bear Shichon Puppies are the Top Quality puppies! They are friendly, happy, loving and polite little dogs. They are extremely healthy and live to be 13-16 years of age. They are very tiny but are still able to play and be able to jump off couches without getting hurt. Our purebred Imperials are registered with the AKC - American Kennel Club as a Shih Tzu . Our Yorkie Male and Bichon Frise Male are registered with the AKC- American Kennel Club .We also own a Bishon Poo to produce the "True "Teddy Bear Shichon . Our sizes ranging from 3-8 lbs but most of our Shorkie puppies mature in the 4-7 lb ranges. We rarely have standard size Shorkie but when we do they are of the same excellence.
